A very un-easter easter card

A very un-easter easter card

I made this card for the Simply Betty February challenge using her lovely free image, we had to choose between a boy and a girl without seeing them first, I let my boyfriend choose and of course he choose the boy (definitely not my usual style). The one condition of the challenge was that no pastel colours were allowed, as soon as I read this I decided to give sepia a go. I had found a promarker tutorial in an old issue of a card making magazine just a few days before, it didn't turn out as I intended, but for a first attempt I'm very happy. After seeing all the amazing entries for the challenge I knew I wouldn't have a hope in winning so just had fun playing.

For the card I coloured the image with promarkers, the patterned paper is cosmo cricket and the ribbon is citrus strip from Anitas. I had fun experimenting with my new sillhoutte cameo which I used to make the eggs, tags and title, all finished off with a card candi and diamond glaze for some depth.

I'd also like to enter this card into the following challenges:-

Miss Maggie

For those of you who like to hear about Miss Maggie, here she is not helping me wash the car. So many people came to say hello to her I think it took me twice as long to get the car clean, its so nice to see the sun starting to make an appearance and the neighbours certainly got quite the welcome home (pet me, fuss me please)

If you thought the last bone was big this is even bigger (he spoils her but at least its lasting more than a few hours)

And my very very favourite photo, shes so elegant and lovely (I know I'm biases)

Thanks for popping by and I really do appreciate your feedback and comments xox

Entry for Here Comes The Boys: layers challenge

This card I made when I got my new Little Claire stamp at the stitch and craft fair, I'd Like to enter this card into the Here Comes The Boys layers challenge.

To make this card I used papers I got free with a magazine, the Little Claire image was coloured using promarkers and I added some of my very favourite card candi to finish off. I also learnt how to make the paper roses at the craft fair, this one was made by Inky Aly.

As for Miss Maggie, she was very bold today. Shes taken this notion for footballs and ran off with one today in the park, it took me a good 5 minutes to get it back from her which is a very long time with a very angry daddy waiting to inspect the ball. Thankfully the ball was fine but madam didn't get off her lead for the rest of her walk.

Here the little rascal is modeling the spring summer range of blanket wear (revenge is sweet)

I'd like to enter the following challenges

Happy Valentines Day

Romance is in the air

This is a card I have made for my boyfriend for valentines day using the fantastic freebie from Mo Manning, it was free for a very limited time and I'm so glad I was on the ball for once and got it.

I coloured this Mo Mannings image with promarkers, the papers and ribbon are from my stash and I got the arrow from an old scrapbook inspirations freebie. I tried to keep it simple as it was for a boy but couldn't help adding the ribbon/bow, stickles to the rub-on heart and some black gems down the side of my thief. We exchanged cards this morning and my boyfriend loved it, I normally buy him cards or make them on moonpig, but he insisted I make him one this year :-)

With a little help from my friends the cheesy poem inside read:

Like a thief in the night
You gave me a fright
But from the start
you stole my heart!! (told you it was cheesy :-) )

I would like to add my card into some challenges

These are the beautiful flowers I got this morning, I just love the colours

As for Miss Maggie, she was a bit of a rascal today at the park, she stole another tiny puppy's ball and burst it, although in her defense the puppy's owner was playing with the ball with her, and I did tell him she was a destructive madam with toys. It was very cute watching the tiny ball of fluff chance after her and I'm sure theyll both have a good nap later.

Thanks for taking the time to look at my blog xox

Western challenge

When I saw that Here comes the boys were having a western challenge, I just knew I had to enter this card I made for a friend.

I needed an image that went with the sentiment she asked me to use and when I found this one at www.justinklined.com I knew it was perfect, it is coloured with pro-markers and made with goodies from my stash.

I punched the stars, made them 3D and added ultrafine gold glitter.

I'd like to enter the western challenge at here comes the boys:

Teddy bo grandad card

I'm working through showing you all my favourite cards.

This is a card I made using some fantastic free teddy Bo stamps, large scalloped punch and free papers in 2012, it was for a grandad from his young granddaughter and grandfather so the stamps were perfect.

I coloured teddy Bo and Bea with promarker and I'm really happy with how it turned out :-)

Thanks for popping by

A custom made EBMAS card

Good morning guys,

Little Claire's men stamps

This is a card I made using little Claire's men stamps I bought at the create and craft fair at the kings hall last year, they're just so versatile and I always find men's cards quite hard to make. I'm really happy with how it turned out :-)
